MEET THE BAND – MARTY PETERS
Marty Peters - lead guitar, engineer and producer
Marty is the lead guitarist, producer, arranger, and engineer for the Dangerfields. Marty has been playing professionally for thirty years and earns his living as a recording engineer. A recognized expert in the field of recording and sound engineering, he is a regular contributor to "Recording" magazine. Marty is also a native of the Buffalo area, but spent most of the last twenty years or so in the Boulder, Colorado, area. Marty was hired as the recording engineer for Tom's fourth CD, "Shut Up and Smell the Coffee" and quickly became the producer of that recording. Once in the role of producer, he determined that the songs required a more advanced guitarist than the band currently had (i.e. Tom Stahl, singer/songwriter) and was soon acting as the band's guitarist. Having passed this close to Tom's center of gravity, Marty was sucked into full-fledged Dangerfield status. Marty took a brief hiatus from the Dangerfields from early 2008 until late 2009.
